USSOCOM Fact Book 2016. The United States Special Operations Command 2016 Fact Book was been published in October 2015. It is 60 pages long and filled with neat photos and an explanation of what USSOCOM is and does. It is only 61 MBs big and can be download at the link below.

SF Training Ukraine SOF. United States Army Special Forces (USSF) have started a six month long training program for the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SOF). Read more in "US begins special forces training for Ukrainian troops"UAToday.TV, November 21, 2015.

SOF and Exercise Jackal Stone. Special Operations Forces (SOF) from several countries took part in an exercise aboard the USS Mount Whitney this fall. The training was focused on building SOF capacity and capabilities of partner nations. SOCEUR organizes the JS exercise. Paper - SOF Background and Issues. The Congressional Research Service (CRS) has provided a 12-page paper to Congress entitled U.S. Special Operations Forces (SOF): Background and Issues for Congress, November 19, 2015. It is posted on the Federation of American Scientists (FAS) website (which means military computers won't access it). One interesting topic is the issues associated with the administration's decision to deploy SOF to northern Syria.
