Post Mullah Omar Musings

Analysts continue to explore the future of the Taliban movement without its long-time leader Mullah Omar. One writer, Kambaiz Rafi, feels that the death of Mullah Omar will lead to the slow disintegration of what we once knew as the Taliban. He believes that most Afghan Islamist groups have been mostly individual-driven than programmatic. With the demise of a charismatic leader most Afghan groups have withered away.
