USSOCOM Cdr: Get Counseling

USSOCOM Cdr Tells Troops to get Counseling. Suicides by special operators have fallen for two straight years but rates are still too high. The commander of the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has received counseling and wants his men to do so as well. "The high rate of special operations suicides as compared to the other services reflects the strain of more than a decade of deployments since the attacks . . . " of 9/11. This trend continues for special operators (who continue to deploy at a steady pace) as the deployments of conventional forces wind down.
