Roshan Transforming Society in Afghanistan

The CEO of Roshan Telecom was recently interviewed about the role that Roshan has played in transforming Afghan society. When Roshan first established itself in Afghanistan in 2003 there were no cell phones and very few Afghans had expensive satellite phones. Most Afghans had to cross the border into Pakistan, Iran, or another neighboring country to make a phone call. Now the great majority of Afghans have cell phone access and this access has transformed Afghan society and provided an impetus for business and development to grow.
