Movie - 12 Strong. On January 19, 2018 a new movie was released across the U.S. depicting the exploits of a 12-man Special Forces Operational Detachment - Alpha (SFODA) that entered Afghanistan by helicopter shortly after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. Once inserted into northern Afghanistan the men mounted horses and rode into battle with the warlord Dostum to capture Mazar-e-Sharif.
