Afghan-Turkmenistan Accords. President Ashraf Ghani met with his Turkmenistan counterpart on Thursday, August 27th to discuss a number of issues and witness the signing of bilateral agreements ranging from education to energy supply. Troubles for the Hazaras. Kidnapping, infertile land, and poor aid distribution are only some of the troubles the Hazaras face in Afghanistan. They face threats by militants, the Taliban and (in the future if they make gains) the Islamic State. The Hazarajat is where the ethnic Hazara live - in central and mountainous Afghanistan. Council of Jihadi Party. Afghanistan's former president Sebghatullah Mojaddedi announced the establishment of a new political party - the Council of Jihadi.
