Refugees Find Hard Times

Winter is a tough season for the many thousands of refugees who have returned home from Pakistan. More than 5.8 million refugees have returned to Afghanistan since 2001 and the fall of the Taliban. There are still 2.5 million Afghan refugees in other countries; principally Iran and Pakistan. Unfortunately, for the returning refugees there is little economic opportunity.
