Recommendations for a Successful Afghan Election

The Brookings Institute has posted a "Memorandum to the President" entitled Afghanistan's Presidential Election Goes Awry. The memo calls on President Obama to adopt a multifaceted effort to support the Afghan elections and persuade Afghanistan to permit a continued and stabilizing U.S. military presence after 2014.
